VAIS was originally formed in 1993 by a group of concerned parents focused primarily on supporting individuals and families who have suffered a vaccine injury or death, and encounter discrimination, abuse and exclusion as a result. There is no government support or compensation for vaccine damaged families. Many of our members also include those registered as conscientious objectors who do not or cannot vaccinate at all.
We are not anti-vaccination, respecting those who have made an educated choice to vaccinate. We include links to both state and federal vaccine marketing and science. VAIS is entirely non-profit, managed and funded by volunteers who network together to meet the communities requests for independently researched data and media. We strive to empower members and visitors to honour their decisions about their health and the health of their families.
We address the media, government, medical and pharmacuetical companies regarding vaccination marketing, discrimination, misleading information and financial penalties. We strive to uphold the right to freedom of choice based on independent research and personal adversity. We also network with health professionals to better support their clients.
We receive many enquiries which we aim to resolve over the phone or through the information on this site. The benefit is simply to provide a safe environment for like-minded families to share their personal experiences, concerns and successes. Making an informed decision about vaccination often results in some discussion with medical practicioners, family and friends. We maintain a code of ethics to ensure that all information shared is confidential, and any negative encounter is accepted with empathy and explored to better understand other choices for the future. During difficult times this support network also provides comfort and encourages confidence in your decision making process, whether that be to vaccinate or not.
There can be a great deal to consider when making such an important decision, and knowing you are not alone can provide reassurance and empower you to stand by the decision to register as a conscientious objector.
